This Privacy Policy describes how 7CULT Records Inc. (“7cult,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information in connection with 7cult.com (the “Site”). The Site is informational: it does not sell any products or services, and it does not include a contact form, account creation, newsletter sign-up, or analytics or advertising tracking. This policy explains the very limited information collected automatically as part of ordinary website operation, and what would change if we introduce a merchandise store in the future (see “Future Purchases” below).
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically records limited technical information as part of the standard operation of any website — for example, your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages requested. This information is generated by the ordinary functioning of web servers, and we do not use cookies, tags, pixels, or similar tools to track your activity across visits, build a profile of you, or serve targeted advertising.
We do not collect any other personal information through the Site, because the Site does not offer a contact form, account creation, newsletter sign-up, or any other means of submitting information to us.
The Site does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. It may use a minimal number of strictly necessary cookies required for basic page functionality; these are not used to track or profile you. If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before doing so.
We use the limited technical information described above only to operate, maintain, and secure the Site — for example, to keep it running properly and to identify and address abusive or malicious traffic. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or advertising, and we do not send marketing communications, since the Site does not collect contact information from visitors.
We do not share information with advertising or analytics partners, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may share limited technical information with our web hosting provider, to the extent necessary for them to operate and secure the Site on our behalf, and we may disclose information if required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of 7cult, our users, or others.
The Site does not currently sell any products, collect contact information, or use analytics or advertising cookies. We may in the future add a store where you can purchase artist merchandise. If we do, we expect that feature to involve collecting contact and order information, such as your name, shipping address, and payment details (the latter processed by a third-party payment processor with its own privacy practices), and it may also introduce customer support contact channels, order-related communications, and analytics.
We will update this Privacy Policy before introducing any of these features, and where required by law, obtain your consent first. Any marketing communications we introduce in the future will comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), including obtaining consent and providing a working unsubscribe mechanism.
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect personal information through the Site beyond the limited technical server information described above, we retain that information only for the short period necessary for security and technical purposes, consistent with our hosting provider’s standard practices, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights regarding personal information collected about you, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because the Site does not collect personal information beyond the limited technical server information described in Section 1, our ability to identify or respond to a request tied to a specific individual is limited.
